"a master of sci-fi Isaac Asimov and his legendary three robot rules."
What made the story as "A GOOD SCIFI"?
FIRST, its plausible. The relentless advance of technology over the last few decades has changed the way we all live immeasurably. For years the idea of robot servants servicing our every need has been on going and is being develop for further convience. It will not be long until we use them for our personal gains like reading minds.
THE THREE LAWS
1) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2) A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
I love the story because it was not just made by the greatest scifi artist Isaac Asimov but because the story so marvelous and simple at the same time it showed the application of the three laws and how invention like any other things invented for a purpose could malfunction.
