COMICS

I MADE SIMPLE FUNNY COMICS FOR MY FINAL PROJECT.. I WENT INTO THE SITE http://www.stripcreator.com/.. IT AUTOMATICALLY GIVES A CHARACTER AND BACKGROUND GOOD FOR 3 PANELS SO THAT YOU CAN MAKE COMICS EVENTHOUGH YOU CANT DRAW :)

MY FIRST COMIC "speed of light"

SECOND "THE TIME MACHINE"

THIRD "THE SOFT ROBOT"

FOURTH "PLASTIC SURGERY"

FIFTH "OUTERSPACE"

guys i have two accounts >> check out my comics>> contessa2929 and makotA its at .stripcreator.com.. i hope you like it...

LIAR a very good science fiction

"a master of sci-fi Isaac Asimov and his legendary three robot rules."

What made the story as "A GOOD SCIFI"?
FIRST, its plausible. The relentless advance of technology over the last few decades has changed the way we all live immeasurably. For years the idea of robot servants servicing our every need has been on going and is being develop for further convience. It will not be long until we use them for our personal gains like reading minds.

THE THREE LAWS
1) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2) A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I love the story because it was not just made by the greatest scifi artist Isaac Asimov but because the story so marvelous and simple at the same time it showed the application of the three laws and how invention like any other things invented for a purpose could malfunction.

sci-fi-fi

HOW DOES SCIFI DIFFER IN FANTASY???

Sci-Fi ‘“ ask the question: ‘what if?’ It explores what might happen in a scenario given a different outcome to a historical event, a new form of technology, or a different style of government. The elements of a good sci-fi story are plausible. They might happen given the existence of one of the above elements. Common themes in sci-fi center on robots, space travel, ETC...

Fantasy ‘“ creates a world that is colored or dominated by elements of magic or the supernatural. While the rules that govern this world may be entirely different than the rules that govern our own world, this rules remain consistent throughout the duration of the TEXT. The text is not necessarily meant to be plausible, but it should be believable to the characters. Common themes in fantasy center on witches, elves, fairies, magical spells, demons, and alternate dimensions or universes.

good scifi movies
I,ROBOT- since we have development on different countries on robots.
GATTACA-world of "Gattaca," children's genes are pre-selected by their upper-class parents for the best traits; those babies whose genes are imperfect are treated as second-class citizens. Today DNA analysis is common, and several companies offer genetic testing for as little as a few hundred dollars.
28 DAYS LATER- due to a lot experimentation on genes or invention of drugs now days it will not be far that it will screw up our body

weak scifi movies
SPIDERMAN-i just dont believe that even a spider got radioactive poison that it could give you powers
THE CORE- when the core stop rotating they build machine that can manifest theearths grounds. not pausible.its impossible to do that :P

ticktock!

"Now begin in the middle, and later learn the beginning: the end will take care of itself">

Harlequin's world was run by the ticktock man or what they called the master time keeper he then programmed lives which created a society in robotic form.

In the passage ‘‘Civil Disobedience.’’ Thoreau explained that most men ‘‘serve the state not as men but as machines, with their bodies.’’ Further, a ‘‘very few’’ men serve the state with their consciences, a service that forces them into resistance of the state. These men, according to Thoreau, are heroes, and often, martyrs.

This kind of classification are seen here in the philippines in which, mostly our government officials just do what they were ask without any hesitations or question whether if its for the good of our country. Fewer have good conscience, and for those who stand up for the people rights gets killed like "NINOY"-- He defended the people against marcos administration.

GIGANTISM

Genetic mutation responsible for 'gigantism' disease -- or acromegaly -- identified

The classification of these kind of mutation is on genetics which based on my understanding will help to cure the disease known us "gigantism"-- it causes abnormal growth which can also affect other parts of the body.

According to my research many scientist today experiment on genetic mutation to cure deseases. Although this sounded more like a science fiction story, today it is possible in the laboratories of the scientists. I know that altering gods creation may have bad effects but i know it could help us too.

ONE OF THE BIGGEST PROBELEM TODAY
*tackled in our chemistry class just wanted to share*
~climate change
caused by
~global warming
caused by
~greenhouse effect
caused by
~greenhouse gasses
caused by
~combustion

This is the real issue that we are facing in our world today. What most people know or have an idea of is that our world is bound to face a certain disaster that has the possibility of making our human race extinct. Greenhouse effect and gases are naturally occurring and produced in our world. However, advancement in technology and misuse of resources lead to enhanced greenhouse effect that increases the rate of global warming and hence causing climate change. Humans are not suited to abrupt changes in temperature which is why climate change can possibly end our civilization. For example, people who are used to hot weather can easily get sickness when exposed to cold weather. If our world undergoes climate change, hot weather will become even hotter and cold temperature will be freezing..

IF I WERE TO END THE WORLD...
There would be virus so contagious that it will affect almost all of humanity. The victims will start to lost human conscience and would start to act like "zombies" eating off human flesh which in turn spreads the virus. Humanity didn't stand a chance.

Starting all over

Certainly, there will be a lot of problems to face but i'll start with these three:

*GOVERMENT
After a huge disaster there would be chaos and depression. During these challenging times we need to have leaders to check wether we are still emotionally and physicaaly stable, someone who maintains the order for us to progress in rebuilding what we have lost

*EDUCATION
I think this is also very important for the development. it can increase the standard of living, open new opportunities, and produces skilled and rational-thinking people who can help lead the country.

*AGRICULTURE
Since life has been greatly influenced by food. Like our ancestors we will start with the hunting and gathering of things that was left behind. After that we could startso that we dont have to move every know and then.

Lets draw the line

"A humanoid robot or an anthropomorphic robot is a robot with its overall appearance, based on that of the human body, allowing interaction with made-for-human tools or environments."

Notice how hard it is to find trust worthy maids. Its either they steal, dont do anything when the boss is not around and sometimes ends up knocked up after few months in the city. That's why if i'm going to have my personal humanoid robot a "housemaid" would be nice.. It could help my mom do chores around the house like cooking, cleaning, laundry(hopefully she is water proof by then) In addition home nursing skills can come in handy so that she could take care of us when were sick.It should also be physically better than me,can lift heavy equipments , extends its arms and legs to reach high places and has better senses to predict the unpredictable. But the most important thing is that it could connect to human beings to allow the heart of man to be comfortable with it.

"Future of Humanoid Robots - What's Next?
In retrospect the mechanical engineering challenge was the "low hanging fruit". Looking to the future challenge of humanoid robots, the ultimate holy grail is a truly self contained and self aware Artificial Intelligence (AI) or more accurately Artificial Consciousness (AC), that is capable of taking control and articulating the mechanical construct of the humanoid robot."

WHEN SHOULD WE DRAW THE LINE?
The world's population of real humans continues to steadily grow. One might ask why we would want to make a machine that looks, thinks and emotes like a human when we have plenty of humans already, many of whom do not have jobs or good places to live. It is important to re-emphasize that humanoids cannot and will not ever replace humans. I admit that humanoids could be useful and maybe truly realiable but i think its too much that we also want them to have emotions and do stuff that we can already do.
